NetTest

NetTest is a swift solution for CMD-savvy users who'd like to check their internet connection speeds without relying on online services. If you do not trust the result you get online, or you found conflictual data between multiple sites, you can measure your speed directly from your system.

NetTest does not have a standalone UI, it can only be operated inside the command line console. There are a couple of steps to follow before finding out how fast your connection is, but if you are familiar with CMD, it shouldn't be a problem.

First, you must copy the unzipped 'nettest' folder into the global System Variables, inside the Users directory. Open the System properties tab, add the path in the variables and click Apply. From this point, you should be able to open the console and type in 'nettest" to access the program's layout.

If the setup action went well, you should be presented with four options: Download Speed, Upload Speed, Ping, and Exit. Each category is marked with a number from 1 to 4, making it very easy to get the exact results you are looking for.
