Just double click on the executable file to quickly format the text in your Windows clipboard by changing its case to lowercase for all the characters #Change case #Clipboard case #Format clipboard #Case #Clipboard #Format
Unfortunately, Windows does not come with any clipboard formatting options and not even its built-in text editor, Notepad, has such features. Consequently, a third-party application is required to carry out the task, be it a text editor that comes with more features than Notepad, or a software tool specifically designed to format the clipboard text.
If you want to quickly change the case of the clipboard text from upper to lowercase, then a good option is AS-LCase. Packed inside a lightweight archive, this application interacts with the text that is copied to the clipboard and switches the case of all the uppercase characters.
No installation is required, so you can use AS-LCase right after decompressing the archive. For your convenience, you can place a shortcut on the desktop or send it to the taskbar to access it with one click.
Usage is simple. First, make sure you copy all the text you want to format to the clipboard. Then, double click on the main executable file (or its shortcut, if you decided to create one). That's about it. To test that everything worked, just paste the clipboard content and check if all the characters are lowercase.
