Thanks to the widespread Internet and the nature of the work fields nowadays, it does not come as a surprise that many juggle more than one device during the day, regardless of whether it is a smartphone, smartwatch, secondary phone, laptop or desktop PC. If you are using at least two of them for various purposes, then there is a good chance you may be wondering if you could move text from one to another.

Alt-C is a tool designed to make the text copying between different devices more convenient, regardless of the application opened. The app solely works with text and does not support images.

Before you can use the app, first you need to download and install the corresponding mobile app on your Android 4.0+ tablet or smartphone. Afterwards, you need to open both mobile and Windows apps and introduce the code provided to register the PC. At this point, you may need to wait a few seconds for the synchronizing to be complete and you can copy away.

To send text from the PC to a smart device you need to press Ctrl+C and it should arrive in the device's clipboard. To get text from the smartphone or tablet to the computer, you need to press Ctrl+V to view it on the PC's clipboard.

According to the developer, the utility can be configured to open only specific types of text, a feature that is useful if you are using the same devices for both work and personal purposes. For instance, under Settings, you can specify whether you prefer emails to be opened with a specific app or the phone numbers via the dialer.

Thanks to the tool, you can easily copy any text to and from your PC by simply pressing a hotkey as Alt-C is a user-friendly utility that may come in handy for anyone using mobile gadgets and computers for work or other purposes.
