Clipboard Anywhere

Clipboard Anywhere is a pratical little app that automatically shares clipboard content across all devices. In addition to Windows, it can be installed on Android smartphones and tablets.

To view shared clips, the app must be installed on all devices as well as connected with a Google or Facebook account. To finalize integration, it's necessary to allow its access from within the account.

Installing the tool isn't required, so you can simply unzip the downloaded package and double-click the .exe to reach the main window. After logging in with a Google or Facebook account, you can start copying text, URLs or images.

Clipboard Anywhere immediately detects changes, extracts the last supported clip (it cannot capture file paths on file copy, for example), and shows it in the main window. After successfully installing the app on Android, you can take a look at the device to see the same clip from the desktop. Besides, you should receive new clip notifications.

Likewise, content copied on the Android device (use the "Copy to cloud" option in the "Share" menu) is synced and shown on the desktop right away. Although only URLs are displayed in the desktop version, the corresponding websites are loaded on smartphones.

This is where Clipboard Anywhere's functionality ends. Unfortunately, it cannot actually keep a history of clipboard content, which means that any missed clips cannot be later recalled (the tool works in real time only). There aren't buttons for saving clips either. Perhaps such features will become available in newer releases. On a minor note, its desktop GUI could use some polishing.

Nevertheless, Clipboard Anywhere certainly looks like a promising clipboard sharing tool, which is available for download and install in Google Play. It's also useful for quickly sharing important notes or screenshots with friends in real time, as long as you are all connected via the same account. We're looking forward to the next update.
