Clipboard Circle

Clipboard Circle is an application that aims to help you manage the texts and images you copy to the clipboard. It gives you the possibility to keep them in a list, so that you have an easier time retracing your steps when working on complex projects.

This is a Metro app that can be deployed on machines running Windows 10, 8 or 8.1. It can be installed from the Store and doesn't need Internet access to work with all its features enabled, so you can manage your clips even when you're offline.

The main window has a bright yellow background that, unfortunately, cannot be changed, and it quickly becomes disturbing for the eyes.

Sadly, Clipboard Circle loses points right from the start. As it turns out, the app doesn't automatically paste all copies text and images into its window, as you would expected from such a tool whose goal is to boost your productivity. Instead, you have to click the save button for every record you want to add to the list.

This way, it's not really necessary to use this app, since you can open any text or image editor to paste clips. On top of that, there are no options implemented for saving all data to file, which makes Clipboard Circle pretty meaningless.

It's possible to reuse the text clips by just clicking on them, but this rule doesn't extend to the pictures. You can disable the text and picture listening modules, which actually means that clicking the save button will not paste the items anymore. Plus, you can increase or decrease the text and image storage capacity.

According to our tests, Clipboard Circle doesn't offer much in terms on clipboard management solutions. In fact, it complicates this task, when you can just separately paste text and picture clips in supported applications.
