Quickly create documents or image files using text or image content stored in the clipboard, with this compact, easy-to-use application #Clipboard to file #Paste to file #Clipboard enhancer #Clipboard #Paste2file #Clipboard2file
If you often find yourself having to create new files using data from the clipboard, whether for text, source code or image content, you can probably agree that the process isn’t exactly speedy.
Paste Into File is a small, open-source application that can help you in this situation, as it enables you to paste data from the clipboard directly into a document or image. It can be integrated into the context menu and is relatively easy to use.
Right off the bat, you will find that Paste Into File is very novice-friendly. After it is launched, it should detect the type of data in the clipboard automatically, so you only need to set the file name and select the output location.
However, it is worth noting that the program only extracts information from the clipboard when it is launched, so it is not capable of grabbing new text or image data that was copied later.
To speed things up even more, you have the option of adding the app to the context menu, so that it can be launched quickly at any time.
Removing this option from the context menu is a bit tricky, though, as you have to run the program from the command-line in Administrator mode with the “/unreg” argument.
Because there is no need to install the application on your computer before launch, it can be carried on portable storage devices and used on the go, without leaving anything behind on the host PC.
Paste Into File is a great tool for users who often need to create new documents or images with content stored in the clipboard. However, it would have been great if it were capable of grabbing data from the clipboard even after it is launched, and it is rather difficult to remove the app from the context menu after integration.
