Address Book

Address Book is a small and basic piece of software that comes bundled lightweight to offer you a simple method to add and manage personal and professional contacts without having to deal with complicated functions.

The program provides a straightforward interface, consisting of a single panel that packs all the available options. The small toolbar stacks the navigational arrows and the editing elements.

The process of adding a new contact requires little time and effort from your side. You just have to fill in the full name, street, zip code, town, country, telephone, mobile, email and webpage. The information is automatically added to the list while you type. Plus, you can refresh the list at any given time.

Sadly, the app offers little functions to fully customize each contact. There is no option to load a profile picture, attach important document related to each individual, and export the list to TXT, XLS or CSV documents.

There are no customization settings to change the interface's theme or the text color and font type. The database can't be protected with a password or username as there is no security function implemented.

What's more, it's not possible to import contacts from a CSV file or another database. It would've been a plus if you could have connected the app to an email client to contact your friends easily.

On an ending note, Address Book is a plain contact manager that comes in handy only for those who want a simple tool to just store contacts on the computer instead of mobile phones. The absence of essential features limits the ability to fully personalize your contacts.
