Aeon Timeline

Aeon Timeline is a comprehensive and efficient piece of software that was designed for a variety of purposes, aiming mainly to assist you in creating detailed accounts of your projects or life events, while also allowing you to edit the contents whenever you need with the utmost ease.

The main window of the application presents you with the 'Standard Calendar' options that you can use in displaying your timeline, namely 'BC – AD', 'BCE – CE', 'Year Only', 'Floating Weeks', 'Floating Days' or 'Zero Hour', depending on your needs, as they characterize the way in which you view dates.

At the same time, the tool's start screen allows you to create 'Custom Calendars', view 'Example Timelines' in order to better imagine how to design your own or open a 'Recent Timeline'. After making your choice, the program enables you to start working on your timeline.

The utility helps you add 'New Events' or 'New Entities' (the people involved in the project, their participation type or other notes), along with the corresponding details and their place within the bigger picture.

Certain events can be locked to prevent future placement changes from being made, while the events that are unlocked can easily be moved up or down the timeline, just by drag and dropping it with your mouse cursor.

Aside from being able to view the timeline in full, you can click on certain items and view more details about them by using the 'Inspector' function, which lets you learn the 'Title', 'Label', 'State', 'Arc', 'Start' and 'End' dates, 'Duration', along with other information which might prove useful.

While Aeon Timeline will only save projects to AEONXML format, it allows you to export them to PNG, BMP, JPG, CSV, HTML, OPML or XML files as well, enabling you to further work with your them however you may need.
