There is no shortage of to-do list applications out there, but it can still be difficult to find the right one for your needs. If you’re looking for an open-source utility that keeps things relatively simple, this application may be the solution.

Grizzlist is a fairly straightforward program that offers some interesting features, though not all of them seem to have been implemented yet. It comes with a minimalistic UI and is very novice-friendly.

It takes pretty much no effort to get started, as the setup procedure is as simple as can be. The program features a minimalistic user interface that lets you focus on the tasks at hand, though it would have been nice if some customization options were available.

While there is no documentation to help out new users, most shouldn’t run into any issues, as the program’s functions are fairly self-explanatory.

Once you’ve set everything up, you can start adding new tasks. Each of them can have a description, notes, tags and subtasks, as well as a specific priority level and a deadline. It is also possible to attach files or even drawings to each entry.

Tasks can be marked as either open, postponed or closed, and a simple search tool can help you find specific items. Grizzlist provides you with detailed statistics about overall usage, as well as a complete activity log for each task.

When taking everything into consideration, Grizzlist doesn’t offer any innovative features, so it is a pretty standard to-do list application. It does have the advantage of being very easy to use, but there is little to set it apart from similar software that is already on the market.
