Some people are perhaps aware of the Pomodoro technique, which supposedly seeks to increase the user's productivity by breaking their work into time intervals. These intervals, fittingly called "pomodoros", are to be then separated by short breaks, and after a few pomodoros in a row, the user can take a longer break.

The basis of this technique is that, by separating work into shorter, but more focused intervals, the user can be more productive. Madoro is a desktop app that can facilitate this process for you, by giving you a Pomodoro timer that can be adapted to your workflow.

Though it may not work for everyone, this is a technique worth trying. Especially if you're in a slump with work, the shorter intervals might help make you more efficient. Through this tool, users will be able to configure the duration of their Pomodoros, the number of sessions, as well as specify break durations.

These timers are to be configured based on your workflow, so they can vary from person to person. If you're new to this, it's best to start with shorter intervals, and if you feel that's not enough, work your way up. Breaks will also have to be factored in, and though we'd like to say the more frequent, the better, that's a decision only you can make for yourself.

Upon allotting the time lengths, it's time to begin work. The tool will display the remaining time for your session, as well as the duration of your following break. When the timer runs out, a sound will play to notify you. You can pause the timer anytime, though it's best not to overindulge.

It would be appreciated if there was a way to display a break timer, too, so that users can see how long they have until resuming work. Instead, after the work timer runs out, the tool would simply display 00:00, so it's up to you to count the break timer.

There's not much else to say about Madoro, other than it's a serviceable Pomdoro timer app. It is quite basic, and lacks some polish, but it's an overall usable, modest piece of software.
