If you're a student with numerous ongoing projects or you work in an office, and you have multiple tasks at hand, digital note managers help ease your overwhelming work, by offering simple and more complex functions to easily compose and store various tasks and notations.

MoruTask is one of the many tools out there that provides an intuitive and simple to-do scheduler and reminder, to quickly manage your high priority tasks and personal notes. It's recommended to have Java present on the hard drive or updated to the latest version, in order for the application to work.

The tool comes packed into a small archive with all the core files necessary for it to run. It can be dropped on an external pen and used on any Windows-based computer. The provided interface is simplistic and user-friendly consisting of a single window divided into a category section (all, today, tomorrow, later), a file viewer and a minimalistic editor.

To insert a new record, simply hit the "Add" button, select the due date, priority level, alarm time if it's the case, along with the title and body content. Unfortunately, the utility doesn't come with any editing and formatting elements, like copy, cut or paste, font types, styles and colors. The background can't be personalized with a custom tone or image, and there is no option to pick a favorite alarm sound.

In the category panel, there is no context menu to rename, delete or add new personalized groups. The only function you can use beside the new note is the search bar, which lets you find specific entries. Plus, it's possible to sort items based on the title, priority and date. You don't have the ability to backup and restore the database or protect your information with a password.

Taking everything into account, MoruTask is a minimalistic program that comes in handy only for those who need a simple tool to enter and keep organized various personal and work-related tasks.
