Nowadays, keeping track of all the tasks you need to perform on a daily basis or scheduled meetings is harder than ever, but you can take advantage of various specialized applications to make things a bit easier.

Reminder is a straightforward utility that, true to its name, can help you remember important activities by displaying simple desktop notifications. The application is user-friendly and relatively unobtrusive, but it could be improved in certain respects.

When adding a new reminder, you can specify when the notification should be displayed, as well as have the program trigger it repeatedly, at a certain interval. The application offers a lot of customization options, so you should be able to set up your notifications quite easily.

Of course, you can also write a short informative message, but it is limited to a few lines of text. Nevertheless, this should be more than enough in most situations.

The application displays a preview of the notification, so you can ensure it is formatted correctly before you save it. Unfortunately, there are no alternative reminder themes to choose from.

To ensure the notification does not go unnoticed, you can check the “Always on top” option. Even if you are using other applications when the alert is triggered, it should still be visible.

However, while the program allows you to change the display period, it is not possible to close the notification manually. Also, the alert window cannot be moved to other locations on your desktop.

In case you do miss a notification, you can bring up the Last Reminders window and check which of them have been triggered recently.
