Before you can get started, first you need to select your model. In all fairness, it’s not overly complicated to get the tool running if you are already using ChatGPT, as all you need to do is add the API key.

Then again, if you value privacy and your notes are perhaps sensitive work-related documents, then perhaps you should consider the available local models. Head to the Ollama Library, choose your preferred model, then navigate to Add New Local LLM in Settings, paste the model name, wait for the download, and select it as your ‘Default LLM’ to start using it!

The idea behind the tool is to connect your notes together automatically, so you can easily organize your ideas without having to do it yourself. Each note you write is analyzed, chunked, and embedded into an internal vector database. Related notes are then linked together based on vector similarity, creating a cohesive and interconnected note-taking environment.
