Group files together in dedicated folders either by keywords in name, size range, or extensions through a fast, efficient operation #File Organizer #Organize Folder #Sort File #Organizer #Organize #Sorter
Sure enough you find basic file operations in the explorer context menu so you have the liberty of performing all kinds of file management tasks without having to rely on third-party components. However, there are some specialized applications like Organizer which can greatly enhance the way you structure your files and folders.
One of the first things you notice is that the application is good to go from the moment download is done, requiring no installation to function. On the other hand, your computer does need to be equipped with .NET Framework, or any other PC you use it on if you take it on a USB flash drive.
Functions are presented in a pretty compact window, but accommodation doesn’t take a lot of time. Moreover, hovering the cursor over group filter options displays detailed descriptions and examples, and even pop-up messages are delivered in case filters are not properly configured, thus making sure you don’t get stuck along the way.
The default target path is the desktop, and this can be changed through the browse dialog. Available actions come in three forms, namely to group by keywords, size specifications, and extensions. There’s also a log panel which shows a list of all operations. You can undo operations at the press of a button in case you erroneously configured filters.
The way in which files are grouped together is in new folders automatically created by the application, with names representing words used in filter fields. As such, files with specific names, in a custom size range, or matching one or more extensions can be automatically moved to special folders. Note that only one type of filter can be used at a time.
All thing considered, we can state that Organizer might feel a little ambiguous at first, but getting the hang of it is sure to greatly enhance the way you group files together. Even though you can use only one filter at a time, careful management places files in special folders with little effort and time invested in the process.
