Keep all business associates details, friends, or family contact info in an organized database, with export options to save as vCard Format files #Contact book #Contact storage #Contact information #Contact #Book #Address
Even though your mobile phone can now hold all your contacts, and even synchronize them across different services, it doesn’t mean a computer can’t come in handy for storing related details. For instance, Contacts lets you create a database of individuals, and different info fields, and export them as vCards.
On the visual side of things, the application keeps it simple in an attempt to make it easy for individuals of all levels of experience to get the hang of it. A side navigation panel is used to quickly view all items in your database, while the rest of the space shows all related details, and is also the place where you write them down.
In case you already have existing contacts saved on your computer under the form of vCard VCF file formats, you can easily import them to skip some time off the creation process. If not, there aren’t many detail fields to fill in, so effort required is minimum, especially only the name field is mandatory.
Apart from name, you can write down the email address, home, mobile, and work phone numbers, actual address, city, state, zip code, country, as well as birthday. Unfortunately, there aren’t any extra, or custom fields, or at least an option to attach a picture for better identification, and proper management of contacts.
The edit space remains the same, whether you’re trying to create a new contact, or view existing details. The only difference is that fields can’t be edited on the spot in view mode, which is a good thing, and prevents data from accidentally being modified. Export options only allow you to save as vCard Format files.
Contacts is a straightforward contacts manager, letting you quickly set up a database of work associates, friends, or family. Filling in all info fields takes little time, and effort, and you can even import from existing items. The only thing missing is the possibility to attach pictures, or a few comments, or note fields.
