SlothTracker

SlothTracker is a neat tool that helps you keep track of your time. It can help you with your work, but it is also useful for your free time as well. It is an easy-to-use application with a pretty basic interface and intuitive commands.

The program can be used without an internet connection and it is not subscription-based. You just need to pay for it once and you can then use it for as long as you like.

Tasks can be edited in order to perfectly reflect your day-to-day activities, plus you can add a description to them if you wish to have some details about what you are doing. The application is capable of exporting your data in the .csv format as well. Also, it allows you to import data from other time tracking software.

SlothTracker automatically detects if two or more tasks are overlapping and it notifies you immediately. It also shows you statistics about the tasks that you are tracking, which can be categorized by project and filtered by day, week, month and year.

One flaw that SlothTracker has is that, even though it is useful, there are other programs that do pretty much the same thing, but for free.

Another negative aspect, albeit not a major one, is that you cannot keep the program active in your system tray. Once you have closed its window, you have completely exited the application, though it would have been sweet to have it running in the background.

To summarize, SlothTracker is good for what it is supposed to do. It is useful at helping you keep track of your activities, it gives you an overview of your tasks and it allows you to import/export data.

If you would not mind paying for it, you can enjoy all the features it offers, but if you are not willing to pay, then you are better off looking at other similar programs that are free.
