Task Conqueror

Task Conqueror is a tiny application that enables you to manage projects, whether you're working on your own or within a team. It features options for setting goals and viewing reports, among others.

The setup operation shouldn't take long. Worth mentioning is that the app has some prerequisites. To be more specific, you must have .NET Framework, SQL Server Compact and Windows Installer set up on your PC.

As far as the interface is concerned, Task Conqueror adopts a clean window with a clear-cut structure, where you can easily put together new projects by specifying the project title, status, estimated costs and goal, in addition to the date of creation and completion.

Similarly, tasks can be created by filling out some details, like task name, status (e.g. completed, new), priority level, and project it belongs to.

The date of creation and completion are automatically added by the tool, while completed tasks are marked with a strikethrough effect. The same rules apply to goals tool, where you can enter a goal name, status, and category.

The separate lists of projects, tasks and goals can be filtered by task name or sorted by various other criteria. Plus, you can remove any projects, tasks or goal from the list as well as edit their properties anytime.

As far as reports are concerned, you can build lists with active or completed tasks, completed goals or projects, or the goal or project progress. It's also possible to mark objects as abandoned.

No error dialogs popped up in our tests, and the software program didn't hang or crash. Its impact on the overall performance of the machine was minimal, since it needed low CPU and RAM to work properly.

To conclude, Task Conqueror comes equipped with basic and approachable options to help you manage projects with tasks and goals. It doesn't contain advanced settings for seasoned users, but it offers a pretty good start to rookies.
