The app packs a clean and straightforward interface that I can best describe as a digital canvas where you can add any type of note. You can use it as a note-taking tool where you can jot down notes, create to-do lists or write down everything. I particularly like that you can do that with standard typing as well as handwriting.

Although it’s not over the top, the app can also be used to sketch, doodle, or draw digital illustrations thanks to a range of drawing tools and colors. In addition to text and handwriting, the program allows you to insert images and vector graphics onto the canvas.

The feature come in handy for creating visual presentations, mood boards, or annotating diagrams with additional visual context. At the end, you can save it as a single page SVG that you can use with other programs.

It’s worth mentioning that you can import PDF files directly into the app to review and annotate, thus eliminating the need for other third-party tools. The app offers a variety of annotation tools to mark up PDF documents, including highlighters, text boxes, shapes, freehand drawing tools, and more.

As far as annotation is concerned, you can easily adjust the color, size, and style of annotations to suit your preferences. The ability to move, resize, or delete annotations ensures precise and accurate markup of PDF content.

While it's not super fancy, Wournal does its job well without overwhelming you with unnecessary features. Whether you're a student, a creative person, or someone who just likes to stay organized, Wournal could be a handy tool to have on your computer.
