It takes only a little while to get the application up and running, so you can check out the set of features in no time at all. However, the application isn’t quite meant to be used with one computer alone, although you only have to deploy it on one. In other words, it works as a quick delivery system for FAX messages sent from LAN computers, with several management options.

First of all, a FAX machine needs to be part of the local network the target computer is connected to. This is because you need to connect to it in order to be able to perform any operation, with a login screen asking for corresponding details.

Once connected, a compact, visually appealing panel shows up, letting you send a FAX, view FAX queue, manage contacts, or open up the administration panel for even more options. As such, all FAX messages sent via LAN are monitored, with the possibility to decide whether or not it reaches the intended destination.

However, Bax doesn’t really interfere with the regular method you use to send a FAX message from your computer, but only offers more management options. You can also keep a list of contacts to quickly send to, manage LAN users, or even view stats for custom time periods. When not used for management, the application quietly sits in the system tray until further notice.

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Bax is a lightweight, but practical application that can be used to handle FAX tasks throughout a network. It can feel rough around the edges every now and then, with little to no help provided, but the simplicity in design and set of options don’t make it impossible to grasp.
