PhoneDeck

PhoneDeck is an intuitive and user-friendly application designed to provide a simple way of adding, organizing and managing personal and work-related information about various contacts. It features search, quick dial and email, along with import and export functions.

It's wrapped in a well-organized yet outdated layout displaying a letter tree structure on the left side of the window, a file list, and a feature-rich menu. Lists can be exported to TXT, HTML and CSV file formats.

To insert a contact, all you need to do is fill in all the necessary fields, such as full name, title, nickname, category (e.g. business, family, information, media, private, work). Along with them, you can enter various phone numbers, email address, and webpage, as well as home and office address, city, country, birthdate, and additional file attachments.

Unfortunately, there is no option to insert custom images to recognize the person much easier. Plus, if multiple phone numbers are present in the contact profile, the app lets you dial a specific one. However, to do so, a dial modem needs to be connected to the PC, and from there you have to set the modem settings, like COM port and volume, along with optional functions.

Records can be added to the dial and email quick list for faster access, locked and flagged so they can be found easier, and sorted based on a particular category. The app lets you customize the layout view, by hiding empty fields, main and index toolbar and checkboxes in the tree.

General settings can be disabled, such as minimize to systray, confirm on exit, automatic save, generate backup files, and stay minimized. The program can be enabled to remember a specific number of recent records, wrap text in the memo, auto expand and collapse the tree, and use a particular font type and size.

Taking everything into account, PhoneDeck is a handy and user-friendly utility that helps you insert, organize, and manage personal and business contact information, as well as back up the database and quickly call persons.
