While the physical experience of turning pages may never be fully recreated using electronics in the age of digitization, the reading experience does not automatically have to suffer for the sake of convenience.

A great example of this is BookViewer3, an easy-to-use ebook reader that lets users jump through documents painlessly using a multi-tabbed layout.

When starting the application, users are met with a minimalist layout that follows Microsoft’s latest Fluent Design language, making it blend in with the rest of the built-in Windows applications. The main screen displays a two-pane window featuring a collapsible tree-style navigation view on the left and a file explorer on the right for quickly jumping to reading the desired files.

For tablet users, vertical or horizontal scroll can be enabled to enhance the touch interaction. In terms of accessibility, text size can be increased, and zoom buttons are placed in the top right corner.

A wide variety of settings can be fine-tuned for an optimal user experience: from the background’s brightness, ebook display engine and PDF high resolution rendering to bookmark cloud syncing for picking up where you left off on other devices.
