Comfie is an application that enables you to compare two Excel spreadsheets and detect any modifications made to the original file.

The program comes with an unpolished, yet well-organized and intuitive GUI, so it is unlikely that you can encounter any difficulties while operating it. The main window consists of two sections, one that enables you to load the files that you want to compare and another that displays the results of the processing.

You should know that the utility exhibits a few extra details about the files you are comparing, such as the number of sheets, differences, rows and columns. You should know that while the app is set to compare 250 rows by default, you can increase the number so that it matches your files.

What makes the application stand out in the crowd is the fact that it also checks any modifications that are made to the formulas. More often than not, apps in this category mainly compare values and hence, there is a possibility that they are unable to detect modifications that are done to the formulas used.

While the results are displayed in the dedicated panel, the program enables you to save the result in a plain text file. You can also configure the application to presents the results on the first page of the spreadsheet, if you find this more convenient.
