Though still largely imperfect, online translators today arguably work better and more accurately than they did in the past. This means that you’ll only have to take a pinch of salt instead of a handful when translating something that way.

Anyhow, if you’re particularly interested in translating English into Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese and the other way around, then you can give Quick Translator a try. It lives up to its name by providing an easily accessible interface that you can access whenever you need to produce a quick translation.

As stated above, the app is all about translating Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. The selection of languages is thus very much limited, so if those two languages pose no interest to you, then it’s best to look elsewhere.

In any case, it’d be a shame for the supported languages list to stay the same throughout updates. The program offers users a quick and easy way to translate words and phrases in a very practical manner: the interface appears next to the bottom right corner of your desktop and is non-intrusive by design.

I enjoyed using the app’s interface. It facilitated quick translations with minimal effort, and I found it especially convenient to maximize and minimize the program through CTRL+T. That way, whenever I wanted to translate something, I would maximize the program and start typing.

You also have the choice to pin the interface so that it doesn’t get minimized when you focus on another app. Overall, I found the app easy enough to work with, and I doubt a casual user would have any issues manipulating it.

Quick Translation looks like a promising new release. Hopefully more languages will be added in the future, because as it stands, the app is quite limited in its support.
