Text documents such as the PDF can hold multiple types of content. However, this type in particular isn’t easily editable, and you might need to split, or extract specific items from pages. In this regard, PdfEbookCutter comes as a lightweight, but powerful tool with which to make more pages out of a single one.

The application comes with a major advantage in the form of portability, thus saving you the effort of installing it, and in return making it possible to have it easily carried around on a thumb drive. However, the computer you use it on must have .NET Framework already installed for the application to be able to run.

As far as the visual design is concerned, little time is spent accommodating because of the overall intuitive layout. You have the possibility to process multiple PDF documents in a single instance of the application, but in different windows which can be arranged in several ways, minimized, and maximized.

Most of the space is the preview area and the upper toolbar holds all cutting tools you need. It’s possible to use one of several preset size specifications for sections, or manually drag a box over the area of interest. Multiple parts can be selected inside a single document. Page grouping also needs to be configured because parts you cut end up as different pages in the same document.

Unfortunately, the application doesn’t come with an export option to help you grab content under text or picture file formats. The only methods to save are under the PDF type, either bundling all pages in a single file based on grouping options, or each cut section in an individual PDF file.

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that PdfEbookCutter helps grab important sections from PDF files and save them as individual items. It could have used a larger variety of export options, but the overall method of approach compensates, and allows everyone to quickly get the hang of things.
