PowerPointPipe

PowerPointPipe is a Windows application whose purpose is to help you search and replace data within PowerPoint presentations.

The tool adopts a ribbon-like interface which allows easy navigation between the features. You can also access a help manual in case you do not understand the function of each dedicated parameter.

You can drag and drop presentations directly into the main window, import the files currently opened in Microsoft PowerPoint, scan a folder for presentations by file type (PPT, PPTX) and date, or get the filenames from a plain text file. The utility is able to connect to a SharePoint server.

PowerPointPipe gives you the possibility to load a search/replace list from a file (XLS, XLSX, CSV, or TAB file format) or make a list with custom values. You can choose to replace data or only to perform searches without affecting the text stored within the source items.

What’s more, you can select the search type (normal search, easy pattern wildcards or Perl regular expressions) and make the application look for data in slides, hyperlink addresses, shapes and text boxes, headers and footers, built-in and custom properties, notes, links, Code Modules, and other elements included in PowerPoint presentations as well.

An additional set of configuration parameters enables you to keep the original file date, process the longest string when looking for data, handle read-only files and password-protect presentations automatically, and remove leading/trailing spaces.

All things considered, PowerPointPipe comes packed with a thorough set of features for helping you replace info within PPT documents. You can use it for changing data in your organization (e.g. phone number, address, website) and updating links.
