Ticker Simulator comes in handy for traders that simulate stock price movements in any cell of their choice and in more than once cell simultaneously. Users can specify Ticker Simulator's volatility and stock price.
This allows traders/investors to run simulated returns on stocks and to test automated or algorithmic trading strategies. Some automated trading systems use Excel as their framework and, obviously, some do not, but the performance of the idea can be tested in Excel using Ticker Simulator.
