Up and Down

Up and Down is a very simple and fast application that gives you the possibility to seamlessly convert text into uppercase and lowercase. It does not sport comprehensive features or configuration settings, making it accessible to all types of users.

The installation procedure does not take a long time to finish. The only notable aspect about it is that it is possible to copy the source code files on the computer.

As for the interface, Up and Down is wrapped in a small window that provides direct access to all main options. All you have to do is type or copy text in one frame, select the conversion mode to uppercase and lowercase, and click a button to get immediate results. The new text can be copied to the Clipboard with one click. There are no other notable options provided by this piece of software.

We have not come across any stability issues throughout our evaluation, since Up and Down did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. It is very responsive to commands and converts text instantly while using low CPU and RAM.

To sum it up, although it does not sport an impressive range of features and customization preferences, Up and Down serves its purpose and comes in handy to all users looking to rapidly turn text into uppercase or lowercase. Those who want to skip the installer and run the app directly from a pen drive may resort to its portable counterpart.
