dpScreenOCR

dpScreenOCR is a user-friendly application that can recognize the text from a screen region you define.

The main window of the software solution is straightforward, while its design is as simplistic as possible. All available functions are neatly displayed, and all the required operations are transparent and intuitive.

Basically, you need to select an area of your screen, then leave it to dpScreenOCR to identify and recognize any text. You can either go with the default hotkey, or you can choose a custom one that you like.

Also, by default, the application comes with support only for English. Yet, you can access a dedicated page and download the language file you need, then copy it to proper folder, as explained here.

Once you restart dpScreenOCR, the newly downloaded languages are available and you can easily enable or disable them with a single mouse click.

The utility offers you the possibility to choose what it should do with the recognized text. You can copy it to the clipboard so you can paste it in a different document or you can add it to the History tab, and explore it whenever you need.

You can launch a third-party file or executable.

Once you are satisfied with the processed text, you can save it as a TXT, JSON or HTML file, for later analysis and review. Then, you can clear the box and start a new process.
