Scan2PDF

Scan2PDF is an accessible and intuitive application designed to offer all the necessary elements to set and generate professional PDFs with scanned pictures or files.

The setup is swift, and the app doesn't require any additional components to properly work. The layout is outdated yet well-organized displaying a basic menu, the scan and make PDF buttons located at the bottom of the window.

Ensure that you have a connected and working scanner, as you won't be able to use the utility, as the only way to add items, is through scanning. You can import other PDFs, but the result won't be the same.

Recently accessed records can be viewed and re-opened from the File menu, while the options may be changed from the Tools. A separate panel is brought up, with six distinct tabs, namely, scan, PDF, protection, general, events, and network, each with its relevant properties.

You can begin by choosing the scan type (e.g. standard, advanced, Kodak Imgscan), the JPG color quality, the cropping mode (A4, letter, legal, custom), and the dither.

From the second tab, you are can to pick the output directory, the page format and fitting, along with the choice to view the PDF, close the app, or email it to someone. You can disable unnecessary buttons from the output, like edit, paste, file, help, or tools.

If the content is important and needs protection, the tool lets you input a password, encryption strength, and security actions, which may allow editing or extracting the composition. Once done with the settings, you can proceed to make the PDF.
