Computers brought about a revolution in the way we conduct many of our day to day activities. This means writing is greatly enhanced and not limited to virtual files, with printers putting all characters on a piece of paper in a matter of seconds. Virtual printers can be installed on a computer to quickly convert different formats, which is also the case with PDF Vista Server Edition that provides enhanced workflow in a network environment.
Once installed, your effort is reduced to a minimum, and this also applies to other individuals using computers connected to the same network, given that your machine is the head of the whole operation. In other words, the application installs a virtual printer on your computer which you can then share so others can easily create PDF documents through a simple printing process.
Navigating to the Windows control panel lets you view all printers your computer can use, with PDF Vista being the item of interest here. This location is automatically brought up when setup is complete. Default settings available for any kind of printer are at your fingertips, but this one also comes with its own preferences for you to review.
The management console is not much to look at. A center list displays all devices it can find so you can select and manage them. Two panels provide quick access to settings related either to operations or drivers. As such, you can go over spool, properties, preferences, access options, visibility, and a few more.
You don't need to use the application to edit any kind of document, nor can you do so. It functions by triggering a print operation directly from the application you're using and selecting the PDF Vista virtual device from the list of printers. If the result doesn't quite come out as you expect it, you don't have to blame the virtual printer because it simply transforms your projects into a PDF document.
PDF Vista Server Edition is a simple solution to grant your whole team the possibility to create PDF documents with a few mouse clicks and with minimum amounts of effort. All you have to do is install it, make it available across the network and just hit the “Print” button whenever you need to wrap up your projects under the PDF format.
