PDF to Text is an application with a title that pretty much explains its functionality - it allows you to convert PDF files to plain text documents.

The interface of the program is based on a standard wizard in which you can follow a few simple steps. You can get started by specifying the PDF document via the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported.

You can use a PDF password (if it is required), specify the destination and name of the output TXT file, as well as select the page range to convert.

Once the conversion is completed, you can enable PDF to Text to automatically open the file on exit.

The PDF conversion program takes up a very low amount of system CPU and memory (which is barely noticeable), includes a brief help file and quickly finishes a task without freezing, crashing or popping up errors. Everything ran smoothly during our tests.

Unfortunately, the unregistered version has some harsh limitations. Also, PDF to Text doesn't manage to convert some special characters found in other languages besides English and doesn't support batch conversions. Other than that, we recommend it to all users who are looking for a straightforward application.
