PdfCakX is an application designed to help you convert PDF documents to PNG image filetype, as well as to save PNG images with different settings. It contains several configuration options that are intuitive enough to be used even by beginners.

Installing this tool takes minimal time and effort. As for the interface, PdfCakX adopts a normal-looking window with a plain and simple structure, where you can use the file browser to locate and select a photo for the conversion operation.

It's possible to preview the picture in the main window, set the image width and height, along with the number of rows and columns, add the image or text to the grid, as well as convert everything to PDF or graphic format by specifying the output directory and filename.

Moreover, you can edit the format's width and height, keep the aspect ratio, create a portrait or landscape PDF document, as well as opt for a preset page size, such as A4, Executive, Legal, Letter or Tabloid. Apart from the fact that you can change font settings, such as type, style, size, effects and script, there are no other notable options available.

It didn't put a strain on the computer's performance in our tests, thanks to the fact that it needed a low amount of CPU and RAM to work properly. No error dialogs popped up and it didn't freeze or crash. Conversion tasks were carried out swiftly. The interface needs some improvements in the graphical department.

To sum it up, PdfCakX offers a simple solution for converting PDF documents to PNG or for saving PNG images with embedded text and different settings. It's geared toward all types of users. No recent updates have been made, though.
