An abundance of activities now depend on documents stored on a computer, but it doesn’t mean that printing them out isn’t required. Among others, PDF is quite a preferred document, and with the help of PyBooklet, you gain the possibility to split a large PDF file into multiple ones so they can be printed as booklets.

On the bright side of things, the application doesn’t even need to be installed to make all its functions available, so you can enjoy it from the moment download is done. This also means that it’s possible to have it stored on a thumb drive in case you might need to use it on other computers. Stability is not put at risk because registry entries are not modified.

As far as the interface is concerned, all functions are found in a single window in an intuitive manner. Input is easily performed through the browse dialogs, and not being able to drop items over the main window isn’t really an inconvenience.

As mentioned, the main input file type is PDF. The more pages the better, since the application configures the input so that you can later on print content into a booklet type. This is done by having odd and even pages paired together, and the result is a couple of PDF files, one containing front pages, while the other end pages.

There isn’t much configuration to be done. Apart from the output folder, you need to choose the page size, which can either be letter or A4. Generating the result doesn’t take much time, regardless of the size of the input PDF file.

All things considered, we can state that PyBooklet is a straightforward application with which to convert a large PDF file to be printed in the booklet type a lot easier. It’s intuitive enough for individuals of all levels of experience, and it can fit on a thumb drive.
