Caditor

Caditor is a user-friendly word processor that includes some handy features for viewing, creating and saving plain text, I Code (CI, IPP), Cadl and Dasyn Sheet files (DSYN).

Setting up the app takes little time and does not require special attention from the user. Its interface is represented by a comfortable window with a well-structured layout.

Caditor supports multiple tabs, thus enabling multiple documents to be opened at the same time for editing. Several basic word editing functions are available, such as conversion to uppercase or lowercase, as well as special character and date/time stamp insertions.

Undoing and redoing actions is possible, while a search function proves its value when looking for particular strings within the document. It supports a replacement feature and filters (whole word, regular expressions, case sensitive, wildcards).

The view can be toggled between developer and rich text mode, while selected items can be added to a favorites list. The right side of the panel contains a Caxer display, which can be disabled from the "View" menu.

Additional tools enable the encryption and decryption of imported files, building and executing code, as well as uploading and downloading data via FTP. Syntax highlighting is supported for Ada, C, C#, I, Java, Pascal and PHP, along with plugins. Moreover, the interface theme can be fully customized when it comes to the close, maximize and minimize buttons, help button, and others.

The application uses a low amount of CPU and RAM, so it does not burden overall performance. Unfortunately, it has not been updated for a long while. Otherwise, Caditor should please all users looking for a straightforward text editor, especially those who want to write programming code.
