You can insert the date and time inside the document, the weekday or month. In addition to that, it comes with the option to search for specific words using the bar inside the application.

Format options are available, you can change the font, the style and the size. It comes with some effects that you can add, like strikeout or underline and it displays a sample. The script can also be changed.

The font color can also be changed, pick from a whole list of available options. You can encrypt text easily and convert text to binary and the other way around.

When you're done editing your text, you can save the document inside your computer, print it or attach it to an email. Notes is a very nice application that you could use in order to edit your texts and it comes with encryption features.
