Hypoinput

Hypoinput is a lightweight tool designed to help you manage and edit text expansions, meaning the content that is automatically printed after typing other specific text. The app doesn’t come with an interface, but rather sits in the System Tray area so that you can easily access it whenever you need to use it.

After the installation, you need to launch the app so that it creates two files - Settings.ini and TextExpansions.json - where it stores the general settings and the content. If you accidentally deleted one, the tool will not work so you need to re-launch it so that it creates the new file.

The TextExpansions.json is where the content of the text expansions is stored, so feel free to access it and edit the content directly. Adding, deleting and editing text expansions can also be done via the GUI-editor. As far as the editing is concerned, the developer points out that it must be done inside the JSON file, fields are case-sensitive and the file needs to be saved with UTF-8 encoding.

Speaking of encoding, the program supports Unicode characters so the possibilities regarding the text expansions are numerous and can include emojis and special characters. At the same time, the program benefits from unique triggers and is not limited to lowercase characters, so if you can type it, then you can use it as a trigger.
