My Notepad

My Notepad is a very simple alternative to Notepad or any other text editor out there. In terms of functionality, My Notepad does not excel or bring something new to the table. However, there is a small aspect that differentiates it from the classic Notepad, and that is the ability to hold multiple sessions or pages, within its dashboard. In short, you can take care of as many papers as you need, under the same roof.

My Notepad starts with a blank, unresponsive panel. The main layout cannot be used to lay text down, but to only host new pages. Use the File menu on the toolbar or the ribbon icon to add new pages. While the main UI integrates smoothly with Windows 10 and 11, the new page format looks more like a Windows 7 pane.

New pages cannot have their name changed. You simply go with the New tag and the assigned number based on the order they were generated. A new page cannot pass the boundaries of the main UI. What can you do, however, is resize the main panel and also adjust the size of each page. Saving a page in TXT format is also possible. Still, the program can only save one page at a time, the selected one, as it is not able to bulk-save all existing notes.

One can resize and move the pages around freely. If you are looking for a more accurate approach concerning page placement, the app's ribbon has a handful of options that can help. Your pages can be forced into a cascade position and can be stacked or placed side by side. The font can also be changed, each page sporting a different style or value. Coloring the text is not a possibility though.

My Notepad, in conclusion, is not an innovative or cutting-edge text editor, but it can be a step up from the OS-integrated tool. If you are looking for a multipage editor and the Windows 7 looks are not a turn-off, this app can be of use.
