Notepad is one of the oldest and most basic programs that MS Windows comes installed with. It is a simple text editor for Microsoft Windows and a basic text-editing program which enables computer users to create documents. It doesn't matter which Notepad alternative peaked your interest, be it Notepad++ or Notepad2, as Notepad Replacer will allow you to replace the default Windows version of Notepad with whatever alternative you would like to use. From a technical standpoint, the program does nothing more than redirect Notepad to whichever alternative you chose, similar to how you would change the file path of a common shortcut.
