Rabt Pad

The Internet is filled with all sort of text editors that allow you to write and edit text on your computer. One of such applications is Rabt Pad.

It allows you to write and edit Arabic based scripts. It comes with a lightweight graphical interface and many tools that you can check out.

The application doesn't need any installation as it comes with a graphical interface based on Java. Still, the layout is really simple and intuitive, with lots of neat features at hand and some tools that you can check out.

The first thing that you need to do after launching the application is to open a new file, you can choose from HTML, RTF or Plain text files.

Rabt Pad allows you to open all sort of files from your computer and manage them easily. There's the option to adjust the font style and pick a font size. You can also use all sort of basic tools that you would find in any text editor, like the option to underline text, set bold or italic font styles.

Alignment options are also available, together with a tool for inserting date and time or a picture. You can also open a virtual keyboard with current mappings. The application comes in multiple languages, simply pick the one that you would like to use.

It has some really nice features, like the option to search for certain words and replace them with other captions. It also has rulers on the vertical and horizontal border of the document and it calculates the length of your text in centimeters.

It has the option to change the interface theme and replace it with another style. Rabt Pad is a nice editor for Arabic text, but it would have been nice if it had some more features and tools.
