Text data sometimes can mandate special treatment, and regardless if you’re a full-time professional editor, wanting the most efficient solution, a student working on his projects, or just an avid user, having the right means to input and handle text can be detrimental.

Text Editor 2x2, which doesn’t feature 2-wheel drive, as its name will imply, does however, feature a clever way of displaying text, by relying on a pre-defined 4-window split view, which will allow you a more efficient way of previewing and editing multiple text data simultaneously.

And speaking of individual edits, I was happy to see that each individual view features distinct editing controls, which makes editing so much easier. The app isn’t limited just to text data, and it also supports audio and video files as input.

The formatting and text editing features provided are basic, yet still manage to cover a quite wide range of applicability, and are suited to most text processing endeavors. However, when it comes to potential weaknesses concerning the app, I couldn’t help but crave additional views.

What I mean by that, is that the app would greatly benefit from allowing you to add additional text views, and customize their layout manually.

Text Editor 2x2 comes equipped with text editing features that are capable enough for most common text edits, and it offers them in a 4-way split view, allowing you easy and accessible editing.
