At first glance, AVAide MP4 Converter is yet another MP4 converter, an application that offers some basic functionality for adapting your very own content to a new format for use with other projects.

While, in fact, that is not totally untrue, this application offers an impressive amount of features in a somewhat known package, since the design itself is not the most original or unseen. Keep in mind that full functionality will require the user to pay for a license.

The first thing you'll notice is the app's interface. It is simple and very much reminiscent of other similar programs we've seen developed by the competition. Regardless, since it is a well-proportioned interface and keeping in though that functions are all accurately labeled and easy to spot, there shouldn't really be much concern with how the app looks. It fits well with modern OS iterations, that is for sure.

The user can drag and drop MP4, MOV, MKV, and AVI files in the program. After that, the program will almost instantly load an entry for the user to adjust depending on preferences. It will ask the user for a format to choose for conversion. Here, one can also opt to extract the sound only, too. Encoding and other similar aspects can also be taken care of here.

Although the app does imitate many other similar products, it is worth noting that unlike in other situations, it seems to have managed to separate its main functionality from extra features quite well. This works to your advantage, since you might not want to be confused by all those extras right away. You'll find the extended functionality to have been compacted in the Toolbox section. Here, you can edit media metadata, compress and enhance videos, or create GIFs for that matter.

AVAide MP4 Converter might not win a lot of points in the originality sector, but it manages to score high enough in the functionality area, since it offers lots of tools, separating the main ones from the extras quite well.
