My Gun Collection is a handy application for both gun collectors and gun shop owners. You need to have a warehouse full of weapons to find this app useful, but in case you do, My Gun Collection is a must.

The program's main purpose is to help users build a catalog, or a database, with information pertaining to their firearms. Launch the application and study the three default entries in order to figure out how things work

Like a proper database, My Gun Collection splits your items into categories that cover the main types of firearms. The first three categories contain lethal or non-lethal guns that are in stock. These three categories alone are a hint that this app can also be deployed by weapon dealers or similar businesses. Other than that, some of the groups cover competition guns, custom-made pieces, class III items and even transacted or stolen items.

Adding a firearm is not hard, but it can take some time. Select the main category first, then use the Add Firearm menu to create a new entry. This is where the work starts to pile up. The app requires very thorough information about the manufacturer, importer, model serial number, caliber, condition, purchase history, finish, etc. Not only gun details can be attached to an entry, but also collector data, condition comments, or additional notes.

Besides adding firearms, the user can also enrich the database with ammunition types, maintenance plans, new models, or new classifications. An entry can also be edited with ease, through its context menu. The full details of a gun can be summarized by a neat function accessible through the same context menu.
