BOKAS

BOKAS is a straightforward application that aims to offer its users a smooth combination of features found in accounting utilities, inventory management apps, and Point-of-Sale software as well.

In short, BOKAS is an application specifically designed for the Indian market, as it provides its users with a quick way of assessing/determining the GST - Goods and Serves Tax introduced on 1 July 2017.

It can be deployed on any modern computer via a typical installation procedure, subsequent to which users need to enter various database/container details, as well as create an administrator account. It's worth pointing out that the utility comes with support for two types of databases, namely SQLite and SQL Server.

The program allows its users to assign custom taxes or make use of the so-called GST HSN code. Multiple store options with centralized management features are also available. The app's features are neatly organized in three, self-explanatory sections as follows: Customer, Transaction, and Administration.

The resulting inventories/sales can be exported to CSV and XLS formats (for easy upload to the GST portal or directly to Excel), as well as printed on A4 and A6 pages. Within the app's Settings section, one can tweak various aspects such as company and store details, as well as change the email settings, select other currencies, and even enable image or text watermarks.
