IOU for Windows 10/8.1

From the ancient times, people borrowed personal items from their friends or asked for something as a favor. However, keeping track of them may be harder than we thought. Writing them on a piece of paper might result in losing them, so a simpler and safer solution is to use specialized apps to store them.

IOU for Windows 8,8.1, 10 is a simple debt manager to save the borrowed and owned items and money. It features options like recurring debts and payments, which you can use to track loans, periodic transactions, and bills.

As it's installed through the Store, it doesn't require additional components to work, nor takes much space on the computer. Keep in mind that in order to sync the data, you have to create an account on the developer's site, and log in. This way you can access your records from other devices (Windows, Android, iOS).

The interface is self-explanatory and plain divided into three distinct sections, namely, their and your debts, and contacts. You can use the Microsoft contact lists to enter existing people into the app. Sadly, there are no other additional options you can configure, like interface look, the ability to enter custom contacts and manage them, or more detailed fields.

The editor is the same for both modes (owning, owned), and comes with very basic fields. All you have to fill in is the amount of money, the currency symbol, contact, comments, created date, and if the item/money have due dates. What's more, the database can't be exported to TXT, RTF, PDF or CSV file formats, nor backed up to another private account, like Gmail, Yahoo, or OneDrive.

To sum it up, IOU is an average and straightforward application designed to be a simple utility to easily keep track of borrowed and owned money and items from friends and family.
