If you want to make sure you still have part of your income at the end of the month, a dedicated app for tracking your expenses might come in handy. My Budget is one such utility.

When launching the application, you have the possibility to enter a password that will later be required whenever you access the app. This way, you can make sure that your privacy is preserved, even if you share your computer with other users.

The GUI is neatly organized and intuitive, meant to encourage even those with little PC skills to use it.

Unlike other similar apps, My Budget offers you the liberty to add your own custom categories, so you are not limited to the built-in ones.

You can also create sub-categories, which can make it easier for you to organize your finances.

The application displays a percentage for each category - thus, you can get a clear perspective on how much you spend on essential and non-essential items.

My Budget also displays a list with all the expenses you make each month, along with the exact day for each entry.

When you want to add a new expense to the list, you need to assign a category and sub-category, enter the amount and the date. You also get to add a note, which can help you specify some additional details (for instance, if it was an emergency).

All the data can be exported to CSV with a single mouse click, and you can also import transactions from a limited list of banks.
