F1 Desktop Calendar

If you were looking for a tool to help you keep track of the races of Formula 1, then you probably noticed that most tools, including the official one, are solely available for mobile. While mobile apps are great in general, some people prefer keeping their smartphone clean or perhaps their device doesn’t meet the requirements for it.

F1 Desktop Calendar is a program designed for desktop that provides you with all the upcoming races in the Formula 1 season along with the results.

After a quick and uneventful installation, you can access the tool from the system tray. The program doesn’t come with an interface, but that is not a deal-breaking considering its role. On the display window, you can preview all races of the season, with the ones already done grayed out. In the lower section, you can check out the future races and a countdown to the next grand prix.

The utility can also show you the results of the races, but for that you need to access the Settings menu to enable it. By default, the option is not available to prevent spoilers regarding the first, second and third position.

According to the developer, for the time being, the application has some drawbacks, one of the most irritating ones being that it can crash. The program can’t be configured to run at Windows startup for now, but hopefully, this can be addressed in a future release.

Whether you are not a big fan of mobile apps or cannot use the mobile, but would still like to be informed ahead of time of the upcoming races and immediate results, F1 Desktop Calendar might be worth a try.
