Everyone admits that fitness, yoga and a balanced diet are essential for a healthy lifestyle. Another thing everyone admits is how much they dislike it. For them, a good solution would be a virtual app that can relate to them in an almost human way. One such app is FitBot, and it acts as a personal fitness trainer, yoga instructor, and nutritionist.

FitBot comes with an entire fitness website's worth of tools all from one single menu. These tools, also known as "Modules" can be accessed at any time and act as tabs that you can access.

The app holds a vast database of workout routines divided into muscle groups, and all you have to do is select what group you want to work on, then input how many minutes you want to spend working out, how many reps each set should have, and how long the rest period is.

The app gives you an animated preview of how you should look like while doing the exercise while having a built-in timer that lets you know if you are ahead or behind schedule. The narrator also tells you how many seconds you have left and each exercise is accompanied by a detailed text telling you exactly how to have a better posture. More so, the name of the next exercise on the list is also displayed so that you can immediately get into position once you finish your set. The same principles are applied to the "Yoga" module.

However, one thing worth mentioning is that during our testing on Windows 10 x64 the narrator spoke too fast to be understandable, becoming a nuisance at some point.

Working out for hours on end means absolutely nothing is by the time you get home you stopped by 3 donut shops. That is where the "Nutrition" module comes in. Find out what dietary habit is suited depending on your goal. It doesn't matter if you want to maintain or lose weight. Besides the aesthetic,s there are also other reasons you may find the module useful, such as the "Lower Triglycerides quickly" or "Alkalize your body" modules, which have many documented health benefits.

As you continue to talk to the AI you will notice that it continuously gains XP (experience). Once certain XP thresholds are achieved, you can use it to gain access to new modules, such as new workout routines, nutritional guides or other fitness tools. This allows you to get access to settings that you would otherwise not need when you are just beginning this new lifestyle. These are things that make the AI look like it evolves as your body does, filling in your body's ever-increasing needs.

All aspects considered, FitBot is a good tool if you want to change your lifestyle.  It coaches you during your intense home workouts, it relaxes you during the fitness session, and then it advises you what to eat to reap the benefits of both. More so, the fact that the app is cross-platform makes it easy to have your coach everywhere you go.
