MikuMikuDance (MMD)

Hatsune Miku is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application, being one of the first digital artists in the world. One particularity about her (or "it") is that the music is theoretically open sourced, so anyone using Vocaloid software can contribute to her already massive library. Since she is a pop icon, she not only sings but also dances, and MikuMikuDance (MMD) is a software application that will help you create your one Hatsune Miku dance videos.

The app isn't as welcoming as other 3D dance modeling apps out there, particularly because her skeletal wireframe has more joints than the average human. This is probably because she also has several joints in her long hair locks, and in areas where other apps wouldn't normally bother placing them (her fingers).
