In today's highly digitized world, most of us can make the most out of the tools available to study, prepare for exams, learn a new language or develop a new skill. Digital flashcards have emerged as valuable resources in most fields involving learning and can help you progress regardless of the fields.
AnkiApp is a powerful digital flashcard app that helps you learn and remember information effectively. It’s quite a popular app that relies on spaced repetition, a technique automatically schedules flashcards for review based on your performance.
The app comes with a modern interface that I didn’t have any particular problems navigating. Since this was my first time using the tool, I used the Create tab to design my first deck and cards. Everything seemed rather intuitive, as I only needed to specify a few things. The app provides a way to keep things organized via a tag system, which can be helpful once you collected some decks and flashcards.
When I created my deck, I could choose between several templates, namely standard, enhanced, specialty language, math and programming. Once you choose a style, it will be applied to all cards included in the deck. There are numerous options to personalize the flashcard via fonts, colors, style and even adding pictures, voice recording and other relevant files.
The deck can be shared with others by specifying their email addresses. You can even create study groups where you add your friends and encourage each other.
I want to mention that the app includes dozens of public flashcard decks from a plethora of domains, varying from learning a new language to world capitals and Math formulas. They are quite comprehensive, as for example if you were to want to find a suitable deck for learning Japanese, you have numerous options for all knowledge levels and proficiencies.
You can find the pre-made decks along with other decks that you created or shared in the Search tab. While the Public Deck tab doesn’t display all the decks available, you can use the search function to look for your desired topic.
Overall, AnkiApp seems like a straightforward tool for anyone looking to get started with a new language or skill or to acquire in-depth knowledge in other key areas.
