Bright Spark Standard Edition

Bright Spark Standard Edition is a lightweight Windows application whose purpose is to help users draw circuits in a clean and interactive working environment

It can be used for educational purposes, as it gives you the possibility to learn about the fundamental principles of electricity using the built-in introductory courses and simulating preset circuits.

Bright Spark Standard Edition offers useful information about electricity (e.g. discovery, ammeter, series circuits, resistance), provides examples, and lets you view images with different electric circuits and go to the previous or next topic.

What’s more, the program comes bundled with a wide range of sample circuits, such as Light Switch, AND, OR, and NOR gate circuits, Inverting Amplifier, Burglar Alarm, Torch Light, Electronic Thermometer, Moisture Detector, and others.

You can explore the sample circuits in a dedicated pane that features animated components.

When it comes to drawing your own circuits, you are allowed to add preset electrical objects into the workspace using “drag and drop” operations, and move the elements to any area.

You can insert batteries, resistors, capacitors, diodes, timers, inductors, transformers, various types of switches, potentiometers, temperature, moisture, and light sensors, bulbs, relays, ammeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and others.

Other important features worth mentioning are represented by the possibility to switch to a full screen mode for a better focus on your work, embed graphs and text messages, add geometric objects (e.g. ellipses, rectangles, lines), and insert images from the computer (e.g. JPG, EPS, PSD, EMF).

During our testing we have noticed that Bright Spark Standard Edition carries out a task quickly, provides very good image quality, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. It doesn’t eat up a lot of CPU and memory, so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered.
